The ruling on one who begins the sa'y from al-Marwah

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question: I am an old man, and I performed the tawaf for the 'Umrah, then I performed the sa'y for seven rounds, but I started from al-Marwah and shortened my hair at al-Safa and wore sewn clothing. What is the ruling on that?

Answer: He has to perform another round; because he missed a round, unless he performed eight rounds, in which case there is no harm, and the first round is invalid and does not harm him; because he started from al-Marwah. The point is that if he started from al-Marwah and ended at al-Safa for eight rounds, he has seven complete rounds from them. But if it was seven, he has missed a round and he has to complete it. He must shorten his hair again so that his 'Umrah is complete, and the first shortening is not sufficient for him; because he shortened his hair before completing the sa'y, and the first round that he started from al-Marwah is not counted.
