Ruling on not staying overnight in Mina on the night of the ninth of Dhu al-Hijjah
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question: What is the ruling for one who did not stay overnight in Mina on the night of the ninth of Dhu al-Hijjah because of the fire that occurred in Mina in the year 1417 AH?
Answer: He owes nothing; because staying overnight in Mina on the night of the ninth is recommended and not obligatory. And if you did not stay overnight in Muzdalifah on the night of the tenth after your departure from 'Arafah, then you must sacrifice an animal in Mecca for the poor, from what is valid for the 'Id sacrifice. And if you did not stay overnight in Mina on the night of the eleventh, then you must give charity for that of what Allah makes easy for you, and if you sacrifice an animal for that for the poor in Mecca, it is more cautious and purer for the conscience.
