The Ruling on Blood Falling on the Ihram Garments

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question: If a small or large amount of blood falls on the ihram garment, should one pray in it while the blood is on it? And what is the limit of blood that invalidates the Hajj or the prayer if it falls on the ihram garment?

Answer: If a small or large amount of blood falls on the garment of a person in ihram, he must wash it, except that a small amount is excused by custom, and he may pray in it. However, if it is a large amount, he must wash it and may not pray in it, as it contains impurity. In fact, he must wash his ihram garment of the impurity or replace it with another pure ihram garment. This is because a person in ihram is permitted to change his clothes even without a reason. If he wishes to change his ihram clothing for another set, there is no harm in it, even if he changes it several times.
Likewise, a woman is permitted to change her clothes if she enters ihram in other clothes, even without a reason. Similarly, if a man enters ihram, for example, in an izar and a rida, and then wishes to change them for another izar and rida, there is no blame on him for doing so. He may not pray in a garment that has been affected by impurity. If he prays while impurity is on him intentionally, the prayer is invalid.
However, if he was forgetful or ignorant, the prayer is valid. As for the Hajj, it is valid in all cases, and the presence of some impurity in the ihram garments does not affect its validity.
