Ruling on Excluding Females from the Division of Property

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question: A man divided his property among his male children, excluding the females and his wives from this property. After the division, and after each of the males received his share, they abandoned him and no longer inquired about their father as they used to. He no longer has any wealth to spend on himself and his wives. What is the ruling of the Shari'ah in this matter? Does he commit a sin with this division? What is the obligation of the sons toward their father, especially since they have taken possession of everything their father owns? What is your advice to one who excludes females from inheritance? And is the father entitled to voluntary charity or zakah?

Answer: It is not permissible for anyone to give his male children something from his wealth; because of the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) in the authentic hadith:
Be afraid of Allah, and be just to your children.اتقوا الله، واعدلوا بين أولادكم
Sahih al-Bukhari 2587
, unless they are his righteous children and they allowed their father to give some of them something, in which case there is no harm. It is obligatory for the sons to spend on their father if he is poor and they are able to do so. If they dispute, the reference is the court.
And success is from Allah.
