The soul of the believer is suspended by his debt

Question: The brother / A. S. A. from Riyadh.
He says in his question: My father (may Allah have mercy on him) passed away, and he had a loan from the Real Estate Development Fund. After reviewing the fund, we found that there were installments due for payment before a certain date, and the number of unpaid installments is seven. There are also installments that have not yet come due. What is obligatory for us regarding the installments that are due for payment, and those that have not yet become due? Is the father (may Allah have mercy on him) suspended by these installments, whether the previous ones or the later ones? We ask for clarification of the ruling of the Shari'ah in this matter. May Allah reward you with good.
Answer: It is obligatory for the heirs to pay the due installments from the estate, and it is not permissible to be lenient in this matter if they have the ability; because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:Jami` at-Tirmidhi 1078Hasan (Darussalam).
As for the installments that have not yet come due, it is obligatory to pay them at their time, and there is no blame on the deceased in this, just as if he were alive; because their due date has not arrived. And success is from Allah.
