Prohibition is not established except by five breastfeedings

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question: I was breastfed by a woman three times; one feeding each day, on different occasions. Am I a brother to the one who was breastfed by his mother or not? Please inform us, may Allah reward you.

Answer: These three feedings do not establish the prohibition of breastfeeding; rather, the prohibition is established by five feedings or more. This is based on the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
Breastfeeding once or twiceلا تحرم الرضعة ولا الرضعتان
Sunan Ibn Majah 1940Sahih (Darussalam)
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) passed away while the matter remained as such." Imam Muslim recorded it in his Sahih, and Imam al-Tirmidhi in his Jami', and this is his wording.
The Shaykh : A feeding is defined as holding the breast and swallowing the milk—even if the child does not become full, and even if the duration is long. When he releases it, that is one feeding. If he returns, holds the breast, and sucks the milk from it, that is a second feeding, and so on. This is on the condition that the child is within the two-year period. This is based on the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
Suckling applies only (to infants) during the first two years (of their life).لا رضاع إلا في الحولين
Bulugh al-Maram 8:198
, and his saying (peace and blessings be upon him):
as fostership is only valid if it takes place in the suckling period (before two years of age).إنما الرضاعة من المجاعة
Sahih al-Bukhari 2647
And success is from Allah.
