The questioner : It was reported from the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) that a woman’s prayer in her home is better than her prayer in the mosque. And indeed, we pray Jumu’ah at home. So my question is: is the prayer for Zuhr on Friday for a woman a time for prayer in the mosque, meaning after the sermon, or when she hears the adhan?

The Shaykh : The woman prays Zuhr at home on Friday. When the time for the adhan of Zuhr comes, she prays. She has no connection whatsoever to the Jumu’ah prayer or the Jumu’ah adhan. When the time for the regular prayer comes, let her pray. And people today, praise be to Allah, have clocks and know when the time enters and when it exits.
