Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : And here He said, so Allah the Exalted revealed
why do you prohibit [yourself from] what Allah has made lawful for you, seeking the approval of your wives
[At-Tahrim 66:1]
to the end of it
And Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.
[Al-Baqarah 2:218]
. This indicates that making unlawful what Allah has made lawful is among the matters that are subject to punishment, due to His saying
And Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.
[Al-Baqarah 2:218]
. This is clarified by His saying, the Exalted:
O you who have believed, do not prohibit the good things which Allah has made lawful to you and do not transgress. Indeed, Allah does not like transgressors.
[Al-Ma'idah 5:87]
“Allah has prescribed for you the release from your oaths,” meaning their dissolution after they are made but before the breach, because if you pay the expiation between the oath and the breach, it is called what? A release (tahillah), and after the breach it is called an expiation (kaffarah). And Allah is your Guardian, and He is the All-Knowing, the Wise
And [remember] when the Prophet confided to one of his wives a statement; and when she informed
[At-Tahrim 66:3]
, until He said
But if you cooperate against him - then indeed Allah is his protector, and Gabriel and the righteous of the believers and the angels, moreover, are [his] assistants.
[At-Tahrim 66:4]
. The ignorant claimed that this indicates the intensity of women’s plotting, since Allah, Glorified and Exalted is He, informed that Allah is his Guardian, and Jibril, and the righteous believers, and the angels are against whom? Against A’ishah and Hafzah. And this is a great error. Indeed, Allah alone is sufficient for everything, but the intent of this is to explain the status of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) with Allah, and that Allah and His angels are with him, and the righteous believers.
The mu'adhdhin: Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar.

The Shaykh : The rest will come, if Allah wills.
