Is the hadith (combining the Dhuhr and Asr, and the Maghrib and Isha in Madinah without fear or rain) acted upon?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner: That he always shortens and combines, and this is better. Is combining better, or only when travel becomes urgent, or when one is in a hurry, or always?

The Shaykh: Combining is a dispensation. The best is like this and like that.

The questioner: Yes.

The Shaykh: Is it clear?

The questioner: Meaning, to do it once after another?

The Shaykh: Of course... .

The questioner: That the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) "combined the Dhuhr and Asr, and the Maghrib and Isha in Madinah; without fear or rain," and when he was asked, he said: "I intended not to burden my Ummah." They said this is one of the hadiths that was not acted upon. Is that the case?

The Shaykh: One of the hadiths that?

The questioner: Was not acted upon, or that the scholars did not act upon.

The Shaykh: He is reporting or narrating what al-Tirmidhi said.

The questioner: Yes.

The Shaykh: But this is a statement that is not accepted, because having comprehensive knowledge is not the nature of humans. A scholar can say regarding a hadith, "I do not know who acted upon it," but to be certain and say, "It was not acted upon," this means, at the very least, that the one who said it is being lenient in speaking without basis. As for me—why did you start from here, my brother? Start from the right, may Allah guide you—.
The student: Because of the shaykhs...

The Shaykh: These shaykhs... are idols, truly. This is a problem.
The student: Start from the other side, from the right!

The Shaykh: Huh?
The student: They made several oaths. How many oaths did they make from here and here and here? But the Sunnah is best to adhere to!!
Another student: May Allah forgive you.
The student: If you please, by Allah, can our brother use your place?
Another student: I asked him, but he did not agree... .
