Discussion of the hadith: (If you do not feel shame, do whatever you wish).

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : This says: Ibn Hubab narrated to us, before the matter of the Juhami, the Ghilabi, the Mazini, and the Zuraqi, who said: Al-Qa' narrated to us from Abu [Shabib] from Shu'bah from Mansur from Rab'i from Ibn Mas'ud al-Bari, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Among the words that people learned from the earlier Prophets are: ‘If you feel no shame, then do as you wish.’ إن مما أدرك الناس من كلام النبوة الأولى إذا لم تستحيي فاصنع ما شئت
Sunan Ibn Majah 4183Sahih (Darussalam)
Two meanings have been stated regarding it. The first meaning is: If you do not do anything that one should feel ashamed of, then do whatever you wish, but as for what one should feel ashamed of, do not do it. The second opinion is: If you are devoid of shame, then do whatever you wish. The meaning is that the one who does whatever he wishes without referring to reason or the Shari'ah does not have shame. Dictation, or otherwise?

The questioner : ... of the two matters?

The Shaykh : Both are correct, both are correct: not doing anything that one should feel ashamed of, and the person who does whatever he wishes does not have shame. Do you see? I think it is a bit hot, provide more.

The questioner : The dictation is for five lines.

The Shaykh : Huh?

The questioner : The dictation is for five lines, or otherwise fifteen?
Another questioner: It is very long.

The Shaykh : Yes.

The questioner : It is long once.

The Shaykh : Is the dictation for every section? As long as it does not exceed fifteen lines, which is what we said, for every section as long as it does not exceed fifteen, we read a new lesson now. Yes? Read?

The questioner : In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful, and may the prayers and peace be upon the Messenger of Allah. The author (may Allah have mercy on him) said in the chapter on the option of choice: "It is established in sale and settlement with its meaning, and in lease in the debt or for a period that does not follow the contract. And if they stipulated it for one of them without the other, it is valid. And until tomorrow or the night, it is dropped by its beginning. And the one who has the option has the right to annul, even if the other is absent and angry. And ownership during the period of the two options is for the buyer, and its separated increase and its profit. And it is forbidden and invalid for either of them to dispose of the sold item and its specified price therein without the permission of the other, without testing the sold item..."

The Shaykh : In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and may Allah send prayers and peace upon our Prophet Muhammad, and upon his family and his Companions, and those who follow them with excellence until the Day of Judgment.
