Explanation of the words of Imam al-Nawawi (may Allah have mercy on him) regarding what he quoted: "

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
The author (may Allah have mercy on him) cited this hadith because it contains the command of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) to have taqwa (mindfulness of Allah) after he mentioned the state of the world. He said:
Abu Sa'eed Al-Khudri said: "One day, the Messenger of Allah(s.a.w) led us in Salat Al-Asr while it was still daytime. Then he stood to give us a Khutbah. He did not leave anything that would happen until the Hour of Judgement except that he informed us about it. Whoever remembered it remembered it, and whoever forgot it forgot it. Among what he said was: 'Indeed the world is green and sweet, and indeed Allah has left you to remain to see how you behave. So beware of the world, and beware of the women.' And among what he said was: 'The awe(status) of people should not prevent a man from saying the truth when he knows it."'He(one of the narrators) said: "Abu Sa'eed wept, then he said: 'By Allah! We have seen things and we feared."' "And among what he said in it, was : 'Indeed, for every treacherous person there shall be a banner erected on The Day Of Resurrection in proportion to his treachery. And there is no treachery greater than the treachery of a leader to the masses' whose banner shall be positioned at his buttocks.' And among what we remember from that day is: 'Behold! Indeed the children of Adam were created in various classes. Among them is he who was born a believer, lives as a believer, and dies a believer. Among them, is he who was born a disbeliever, lives as a disbeliever, and dies a disbeliever. Among them, is he who was born a believer, lives as a believer, and dies a disbeliever. Among them, is he who was born a disbeliever, lives as a disbeliever, and dies a believer. Behold! Among them is the slow to get angry, the quick to calm. Among them is the quick anger and the quick to calm, so this is with that. Behold! Among them is the quick get angry and the slow to calm, and indeed the best of them is the slow to get angry and the quick to calm, and the worst of them is the quick get angry and the slow to calm. Behold! Among them is he who pays back well and collects well. Among them is he who is bad with paying back and good when collecting. Among them is he who pays back well and is bad with collecting, so this is with that. Behold! Among them is he who is bad with paying back and bad with collecting. Indeed the best of them is the one who is good in paying back and good in collecting. And the worst of them is the one who is bad with paying back and bad with collecting. Behold! Anger is an ember in the heart of the son of Adam, as you see it in the redness of his eyes and the bulge of his jugular veins. So whoever senses something from that, then let him cling to the ground."' He said: "So we began turning towards the sun to see if anything of it remained(meaning whether it has set or not). So the Messenger of Allah(s.a.w) said: 'Behold! The world, in relation to what has passed of it, shall not remain except as what remains of this day of yours, in relation to what has passed of it."' إن الدنيا حلوة خضرة
Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2191Da'if (Darussalam)
It is sweet in taste and green in appearance. When a thing is green and sweet, the eye seeks it first, and then the soul seeks it second. When a thing combines the desire of the eye and the desire of the soul, a person is likely to fall into it. So the world is sweet in its taste and green in its appearance, and people are deceived by it, become engrossed in it, and make it their greatest concern. But the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) clarified that Allah the Exalted has made us successors in it, so He looks at how we act. He said:
and verily Allah is going to install you as vicegerent in it in order to see how you act وإن الله مستخلفكم فيها فينظرُ كيف تعملون
Sahih Muslim 2742
Do you fulfill His obedience, restrain your souls from their desires, and fulfill what Allah has made obligatory upon you, without being deceived by the world? Or is the matter the opposite? For this reason, he said:
So fear Allah فاتقوا الله
Fear Allah, meaning fulfill what He has commanded you and leave what He has forbidden you, and do not let the sweetness and freshness of the world deceive you, as Allah the Exalted said:
so let not the worldly life delude you and be not deceived about Allah by the Deceiver. فلا تغرنكم الحياة الدنيا ولا يغرنكم بالله الغرور
[Luqman 31:33]

Then he said:
So fear Allah and fear women فاتقوا الله واتقوا النساء
Fear women, meaning beware of them. This includes being wary of a woman's scheming with her husband, and it also includes being wary of women and their trial. For this reason, he said:
verily, the first trial for the people of Isra'il was caused by women فإن أول فتنة بني إسرائيل كانت في النساء
Sahih Muslim 2742
They were tried by women, so they went astray and led others astray, may Allah protect us from that. Therefore, we see our enemies, the enemies of our religion, the enemies of the Shari'ah of Allah the Mighty and Majestic, focusing today on the issue of women, their tabarruj (display of adornment), their free mixing with men, and their participation with men in work, until people become like donkeys, caring only for their bellies and their private parts, may Allah protect us from that. And women become like dolls, meaning images, where people care only for the appearance of the woman, how they adorn her, how they beautify her, how they bring her beautifications and improvements, and what relates to the hair and what relates to the skin, plucking the hair from the leg, the arm, the face, everything, until they make the greatest concern of women be that the woman is like an image, like a plastic image, where she does not care about worship and does not care about children.
Then, our enemies, the enemies of the religion of Allah, the enemies of the Shari'ah of Allah, the enemies of modesty, want to push women into men's jobs so that they tighten the noose around men and make the youth wander in the markets with no work. And from this idleness comes great harm and a great trial, because youth, idleness, and wealth are among the greatest harms, as it was said.
"Youth, emptiness, and wealth *** are a corruption for a man, what a corruption"
So they are pushing women now into jobs, men's jobs, and they leave the youth to corrupt the youth and corrupt the women. Do you know what happens? By employing them with men, the harm of free mixing occurs, and the harm of zina (unlawful sexual intercourse) and immorality, whether in the zina of the eye, or the zina of the tongue, or the zina of the hand, or the zina of the private part. All of that is possible, possible, if the woman is with the man in the workplace. And how much corruption is in the countries where men and women are employed together. Then, if the woman is employed, she will be separated from her home and her husband, and the families will become disintegrated. Then, if she is employed, the house will need a servant, and at that time we will bring in women from the world from every place, of every religion, and of every character, even if the religion is other than the religion of Islam, and even if the character is corrupt. We will bring in women to be servants in the houses, and we will make our women work in the places of our men, we will idle our men, and we will employ our women.
Then, this also has a great harm, which is the disintegration of the family, because if a child grows up and has in front of him only the servant, he forgets his mother and forgets his father, and the child loses his attachment to his mother, so the houses become corrupt and the families become scattered, and there occurs from that harms that none knows except Allah.
And there is no doubt that our enemies and the followers of our enemies, because there are among us followers of these enemies, who studied with them and were stained with their bad ideas. And I do not say that their brains were washed, but I say that they polluted their brains with these malicious ideas that oppose the religion of Islam.
They may say that this does not oppose the 'aqidah (creed), but we say that it destroys the 'aqidah. Opposing the 'aqidah is not that a person says that Allah has a partner, or that Allah does not exist, or the like of that. No, these sins destroy the 'aqidah completely, because the person remains as if he is an ox or a donkey, not caring about the 'aqidah or about worship, because he is attached to the world and its decorations and to women. And it came in the authentic hadith:
I have not left behind me a trial more injurious to men than women. ما تركت بعدي فتنة أضر على الرجال من النساء
Mishkat al-Masabih 3085
No trial is more harmful to men than women.
For this reason, it is obligatory upon us, and we are, praise be to Allah, a Muslim community, to oppose these ideas and to spread against them in every place and in every occasion. And even if there are among us some people, may Allah not increase them and may He not grant them their desire, there are among us in this country some people who want this matter, who want this trial and this evil for this Muslim, peaceful, conservative country. But they know that the last stronghold of the Muslims is this country, which includes the sanctities of the Muslims and the qiblah (direction of prayer) of the Muslims, to corrupt it so that the entire Muslim community is corrupted. The entire Muslim community looks at what this country is doing. If modesty and religion collapse in this country, then farewell to us, farewell to the religion and modesty.
For this reason, I say, O my brothers, it is obligatory upon us, young men, adults, old men, scholars, and students, to oppose these ideas and to stand up against them with all people, so that they do not spread among us like fire in dry wood and burn us. We ask Allah the Exalted to make the schemes of those who plot such matters against them, and not to let them achieve their goal, and to suppress them with righteous men until their trial is extinguished. Indeed, He is Generous and Bountiful.
