Continuation of the explanation of the statement of Imam al-Nawawi (may Allah have mercy on him) regarding what he quoted: "."

The Shaykh : It is for a judge, a mufti, a scholar, or a da'iyah to preach to the people about current matters in which they need clarification of the truth, and about regular matters such as Jumu'ah, the two festivals, the prayer for rain, and the eclipse, as mentioned previously. This is part of the way of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and the excellence of his conveying of the message, because when a matter is addressed at its proper time when there is a need for it, it is more readily accepted. And success is from Allah.
The reader: The author (may Allah have mercy on him) quoted: “From Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him and his father) who said: قام فينا رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم بموعظة فقال: يا أيها الناس إنكم محشورون إلى الله تعالى حفاة عراة غرلًا كما بدأنا أول خلق نعيده وعدًا علينا إنا كنا فاعلين ألا وإن أول الخلائق يُكسى يوم القيامة إبراهيم صلى الله عليه وسلم، ألا وإنه سيجاء برجال من أمتي فيؤخذ بهم ذات الشمال فأقول: يا رب أصحابي، فيقال: إنك لا تدري ما أحدثوا بعدك، فأقول كما قال العبد الصالح: وكنت عليهم شهيدًا ما دمت فيهم فلما توفيتني كنت أنت الرقيب عليهم وأنت على كل شيء شهيد إلى قوله: العزيز الحكيم فيقال لي: إنهم لم يزالوا مرتدين على أعقابهم منذ فارقتهم The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) stood among us to give us a sermon and said: O people, you will be gathered to Allah the Exalted barefoot, naked, and uncircumcised, as We began the first creation, We will repeat it; a promise binding upon Us that We will surely do it. And indeed, the first of the creation to be clothed on the Day of Resurrection will be Ibrahim (peace be upon him). And indeed, men from my Ummah will be brought and they will be taken to the left. I will say: O my Lord, they are my companions. It will be said: You do not know what they innovated after you. I will say as the righteous servant said: And I was a witness over them as long as I was among them. But when You took me away, You were the Watcher over them, and You are a Witness over all things, up to His saying: The Mighty, the Wise. It will be said to me: They have continued to turn back on their heels since I left them. Agreed upon by al-Bukhari and Muslim”.
