The ruling on men wearing silver and the ruling on the wedding ring.

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : As for wearing silver, there is nothing wrong with it; it is permissible for a man to wear a silver ring, provided that it is not accompanied by a belief, as some people do who have adopted the customs or habits of the Christians regarding the wedding ring. They say that when a Christian man wants to get married, the priest comes to him, in the position of a scholar among Muslims, and takes the ring and places it on his finger, moving from one finger to another until he reaches the one he intends, and then says: "This represents the bond between you and your wife." This is imitating the Christians accompanied by a false belief, so it is not permissible for a man to wear this wedding ring. However, if he wears an ordinary ring without any belief attached to it, then there is nothing wrong with it.
