The reader: The author (may Allah have mercy on him) quoted:
“from Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Do you know who the bankrupt person is? They said: The bankrupt person among us is the one who has no dirham and no property. He said: The bankrupt person of my Ummah is the one who comes on the Day of Resurrection with his prayer, his fasting, and his zakah, and he comes having insulted this one, falsely accused this one of zina, eaten the wealth of this one, shed the blood of this one, and struck this one. So this one is given from his good deeds, and that one is given from his good deeds. If his good deeds are exhausted before he has settled what is due to them, their sins are taken and placed upon him, and then he is thrown into the Fire.
أتدرون ما المفلس؟ قالوا: المفلس فينا من لا درهم له ولا متاع، فقال: إن المفلس من أمتي من يأتي يوم القيامة بصلاة وصيام وزكاة، ويأتي وقد شتم هذا، وقذف هذا وأكل مال هذا، وسفك دم هذا، وضرب هذا، فيعطى هذا من حسناته، وهذا من حسناته، فإن فنيت حسناته قبل أن يقضي ما عليه، أخذ من خطاياهم فطرحت عليه، ثم طرح في النار
Narrated by Muslim”.
