And prayers and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad, and upon his family and all his Companions.

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The reader: In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
All praise is due to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and may peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, and upon his family and all his Companions.
The author (may Allah have mercy on him) quoted, in the context of the hadiths in the chapter on bidding farewell to a companion and advising him when parting for travel or otherwise, and making du'a for him and asking him to make du'a for you, “From Malik ibn al-Huwayrith (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: We came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) while we were young men of similar age, and we stayed with him for twenty nights. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was merciful and gentle. He thought that we had become homesick for our families, so he asked us about the family members we had left behind. We informed him, and he said:
Return to your families, stay among them, teach them, and enjoin good upon them. Pray such-and-such a prayer at such-and-such a time, and pray such-and-such a prayer at such-and-such a time. When the time for prayer arrives, let one of you call the adhan for you, and let the eldest among you lead you in prayer.

and offer your prayers in the way you saw me offering my prayers وصلوا كما رأيتموني أصلي

The Shaykh : In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
The author al-Nawawi (may Allah have mercy on him) said in his book *Riyad al-Salihin*, in the chapter on bidding farewell to a companion, a traveler, or one who is parting by any kind of parting, and advising him after he has gone, in mentioning the hadiths narrated on this topic, he quoted from Malik ibn al-Huwayrith (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: We came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) while we were young men of similar age. This was in the year of the delegations, in the ninth year of the Hijrah. They were young men, and they stayed with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) for twenty nights, having come in order to gain knowledge of the religion of Allah. When he saw that we had become homesick for our families, meaning we missed them, he asked them, and they informed him about those who were behind them. He said:
Return to your families, stay among them, teach them, and enjoin good upon them. Pray such-and-such a prayer at such-and-such a time, and pray as you have seen me praying. When the time for prayer arrives, let one of you call the adhan for you, and let the eldest among you lead you in prayer.
