Explanation of the Book of the Adhan-03a

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The reciter: Muhammad ibn al-Muthanna narrated to us, saying: Abd al-Wahhab narrated to us, saying: Ayyub narrated to us from Abu Qilabah, saying: Malik narrated to us: We came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) while we were young men of similar age. We stayed with him for twenty days and nights. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was merciful and gentle. When he thought that we had grown fond of our families or were missing them, he asked us who we had left behind. We informed him. He said:
Then he asked us to go back to our families and stay with them and teach them (the religion) and to order them to do good things. ارجعوا إلى أهليكم فأقيموا فيهم وعلموهم ومروهم
Sahih al-Bukhari 631
He mentioned some things which I remember, or perhaps do not remember
Pray as you have seen me praying and when it is the time for the prayer one of you should pronounce the Adhan and the oldest of you should lead the prayer. وصلوا كما رأيتموني أصلي فإذا حضرت الصلاة فليؤذن لكم أحدكم وليؤمكم أكبركم
Sahih al-Bukhari 631
