What is the knowledge that does not benefit?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
Is the knowledge that does not benefit the knowledge of this world?

Answer:
Every kind of knowledge that does not benefit falls under this, including religious knowledge. If it does not benefit him, it becomes an argument against him. We ask Allah for safety. If he does not act upon it, it becomes an argument against him.
Q: Do the knowledge of this world not fall under the knowledge that does not benefit?
The Shaykh: No, the knowledge of this world may benefit. The carpenter benefits from his knowledge, the blacksmith benefits from his knowledge, and the driver benefits from his knowledge. But some people have religious knowledge, like the Jews, and knowledge of evil that does not benefit them. Their knowledge is an argument against them on the Day of Resurrection, leading to the Fire. We ask Allah for safety.
Q: Is the intended benefit in this world and the Hereafter?
The Shaykh: It encompasses both.
