Exegesis of the saying of Allah the Exalted: “On the Day when the leg is uncovered and they are called to prostration”

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
A student asks and says: What is the truth in the interpretation of the saying of Allah the Exalted:
The Day the shin will be uncovered and they are invited to prostration but the disbelievers will not be able,يَوْمَ يُكْشَفُ عَن سَاقٍ وَيُدْعَوْنَ إِلَى السُّجُودِ فَلَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ
[Al-Qalam: 42]?

Answer:
The Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) explained it by saying that the meaning is: the Day when the Lord comes on the Day of Resurrection and reveals His leg to His believing servants, which is the sign between Him and them , and when He reveals His leg, they will recognize Him and follow Him.
And if a war is said to have “uncovered its leg,” that means it has intensified, and this is a known linguistic meaning stated by the masters of language.
However, in the noble verse, it must be interpreted according to what came in the noble hadith, which is the Lord revealing His leg , and this is among the attributes that befit the majesty and greatness of Allah (Exalted and Majestic is He), in which no one resembles Him, and so it is with the rest of the attributes, such as the Face, the hands, the foot, and the eye, and other attributes established by the texts.
Among these are: anger, love, and dislike, and all that He (Glorified and Exalted is He) described Himself with in the Noble Book, and what the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) informed us about Him. All of them are true attributes, and all of them befit Allah (Exalted and Majestic is He), and no one resembles Him in them (Glorified and Exalted is He, and by His praise). As He the Exalted said:
There is nothing like unto Him, and He is the Hearing, the Seeing.لَيْسَ كَمِثْلِهِ شَيْءٌ وَهُوَ السَّمِيعُ البَصِيرُ
[Al-Shura: 11], and He the Exalted said:
Say, "He is Allah, [who is] One,قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ ۝
[Al-Ikhlas 112:1]
Allah, the Self-Sufficient He has not begetten nor been begotten And there is none comparable to Him [Al-Ikhlas: 1-4].
And this is the statement of the people of the Sunnah and the community, from the Companions of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and those who followed them with excellence from the scholars of knowledge and guidance. And Allah is the One who grants success.
