What is the meaning of: {on the Day when a leg is uncovered}?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q: A student asks and says: What is the truth in interpreting the saying of Allah the Exalted:
The Day the shin will be uncovered and they are invited to prostration but the disbelievers will not be able,يَوْمَ يُكْشَفُ عَنْ سَاقٍ وَيُدْعَوْنَ إِلَى السُّجُودِ فَلا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ
[Al-Qalam: 42].

A: The Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) interpreted it to mean that it is the Day when the Lord comes on the Day of Resurrection and uncovers His leg to His believing servants, which is the sign between Him and them (Exalted and Majestic is He). So when He uncovers His leg, they will recognize Him and follow Him. And if a war is said to have "uncovered its leg," it means it has spread, and this is known linguistically, as stated by the masters of language. But in the noble verse, it must be interpreted according to what came in the noble hadith, which is the uncovering of the Lord’s leg (Exalted and Majestic is He).
And this is among the attributes that befit Allah, in which no one resembles Him (Exalted and Majestic is He), and so are the other attributes, such as the Face, the hands, the foot, the eye, and other attributes established by the texts. Among these are anger, love, and dislike, and all that He (Glorified and Exalted is He) described Himself with in the Noble Book and in what the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) informed us about Him. As Allah the Exalted said:
There is nothing like unto Him, and He is the Hearing, the Seeing.لَيْسَ كَمِثْلِهِ شَيْءٌ وَهُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْبَصِيرُ
[Al-Shura: 11], and He the Exalted said:
Say, "He is Allah, [who is] One,قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ ۝
[Al-Ikhlas 112:1]
Allah is al-Samad. He has not begotten nor been begotten, and there is none comparable to Him [Al-Ikhlas: 1-4]. And this is the statement of the people of the Sunnah and the community, from the Companions of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and those who followed them with excellence from the scholars of knowledge and guidance. And success is from Allah.
