What should one do if he has intrusive thoughts related to creed

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
I have many intrusive thoughts, especially regarding creed and the deeds I perform. What is the guidance?

Answer:
When they occur, you should seek refuge in Allah from the accursed Shaytan and spit to your left three times, even if you are in prayer. Along with that, you should say: “I seek refuge in Allah from the accursed Shaytan,” and repeat it three times. You should also say: “I believe in Allah and His Messengers,” if the intrusive thoughts are related to creed. This is how the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) taught his Companions when they complained to him about intrusive thoughts. May Allah grant success.
