A question regarding the imam’s forgetfulness

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
Our imam led us in the midday prayer, and in the second unit he did not prostrate except for one prostration. We alerted him with the required alert, and after the prayer ended, we informed him of this. He became extremely agitated, his neck veins swelled, and he rebuked us severely for approximately three minutes. Then, after a man of authority advised him, he performed one unit and prostrated for forgetfulness. Is our prayer valid or not?

Answer:
The prayer is valid, if Allah wills, as long as he returned to his senses, performed the unit, and prostrated for forgetfulness. There is no harm. The matter is concluded. We ask Allah for guidance for us and for him. Perhaps at first he thought he was correct and that you were mistaken. Then, after the voices against him multiplied, it became clear to him that he had been forgetful. For this reason, he performed the unit, and this is sufficient, if Allah wills. Nothing is required of you.
