Question:
My soul sometimes prompts me to do an evil deed or say something bad, but often I do not express the word or perform the deed. Is there a sin on me for that, and what is the meaning of the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) :[Al-Baqarah 2:284] the verse [al-Baqarah:284]?
Answer:

Muslim recorded it in his Sahih, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Bulugh al-Maram 8:133 It is agreed upon that it is authentic.
By this, it is known that the whispers and thoughts of some evil that occur in the soul are forgiven, as long as their owner does not speak of them or act upon them.
And when one leaves that out of fear of Allah the Exalted, Allah records for him a good deed for it; because it is authentic from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) what indicates this. And success is from Allah.
