Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The reader: In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
All praise is due to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and may peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, and upon his family and all his Companions.
The author (may Allah have mercy on him) quoted in the context of the hadiths in the book of the etiquettes of sleep and lying down "From Ya'ish ibn Takhfah al-Ghifari (may Allah be pleased with them both), who said: My father said: While I was lying on my stomach in the mosque, a man nudged me with his foot and said:Sunan Abi Dawud 5040Da'if (Al-Albani) He said: So I looked, and there was the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). Abu Dawud narrated it with a sound chain. And from Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), who said: Riyad as-Salihin 818 Abu Dawud narrated it with a good chain".
The Shaykh : In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
These are the remaining hadiths regarding the etiquettes of sleep and lying down. The author mentioned the hadith of Ya'ish ibn Takhjah or Takhfah, in which he said: My father told me that he was sleeping on his stomach in the mosque when a man kicked him with his foot and said:Sunan Abi Dawud 5040Da'if (Al-Albani) He turned around and there was the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family). In this hadith is evidence that it is not befitting for a person to sleep on his stomach, especially in places that people frequent, because if people see him in this state, it is a disliked sight. However, if a person has pain in his stomach and wants to sleep in this manner because it is more comfortable for him, then there is no harm in it, because this is a need. In this is also evidence of the permissibility of kicking a person with the foot, meaning pushing him with the foot, because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) did so, and he was the most humble of people. This is not considered arrogance, unless there is something of arrogance in the heart of the person, in which case it is a different matter. But merely kicking a person with your foot is not considered arrogance. However, one should be mindful of circumstances; if you fear that the person you are kicking with your foot will see that you are being dismissive of him or that you are looking down on him, then do not do it, because a permissible thing, if it leads to a prohibited thing, is prevented. Likewise, he then mentioned the hadith of Abu Hurayrah regarding the man who sits in a place and does not remember Allah therein, or lies down in a position and does not remember Allah therein; it is a loss from Allah for him. "Tarah" means loss. To sit in a place and not remember Allah therein is a loss, because you have not gained anything in it. In this is evidence that it is befitting for a person to increase in the remembrance of Allah while standing, sitting, and lying on his side. Likewise, if you lie down in a position and do not mention the name of Allah therein, it will be a loss from Allah for you. So increase in the remembrance of Allah constantly and always. Be like the one about whom Allah the Exalted said: [Ali 'Imran 3:190-191] So that you may be in compliance with the saying of Allah the Exalted: [Al-Ahzab 33:41-42] May Allah help us and you to remember Him, thank Him, and worship Him well.
All praise is due to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and may peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, and upon his family and all his Companions.

This is a method of lying which Allah hates
إن هذه ضجعة يبغضها اللهWhoever sits in a place where he does not remember Allah (SWT), he will suffer loss and incur displeasure of Allah; and whoever lies down (to sleep) in a place where he does not remember Allah, he will suffer sorrow and incur displeasure of Allah.
