The reader: In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and may peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, and upon his family and all his Companions:
He said (may Allah have mercy on him): "The Book of Virtues: The Chapter on the Virtue of Reciting the Qur'an:
From Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say:Sahih Muslim 804a Narrated by Muslim.
And from al-Nu'man ibn Sam'an (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say:Riyad as-Salihin 992 Narrated by Muslim".
The Shaykh : In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful:
He said (may Allah have mercy on him): "The Book of Virtues: The Chapter on the Virtue of Reciting the Qur'an": This is in *Riyad al-Salihin* by al-Nawawi (may Allah have mercy on him), and we have previously said something about this in the last lesson.
As for today, it is from Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him), that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) said:, : So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) commanded the recitation of the Qur'an and made it general, so reciting the Qur'an is recommended at all times and in all conditions, except when a person is relieving himself, meaning urinating or defecating, for he should not recite the Qur'an, because the Qur'an is respected and honored, so it is not recited in this state. Likewise, if a person is with his family in the state of intercourse, he should not recite the Qur'an, but he should say when having intercourse: Sahih al-Bukhari 141, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Sahih Muslim 804a For if a person recites the Qur'an seeking reward from Allah, he has ten good deeds for every letter, and similar to this is the hadith of al-Nu'man ibn Sam'an (may Allah be pleased with him), that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): : But the Messenger qualified the recitation of the Qur'an in this hadith with acting upon it, because those who recite the Qur'an are divided into two groups: a group that does not act upon the Qur'an, so they do not believe in its reports and do not act upon its rulings, for these, the Qur'an will be a proof against them.
And another group: they believe in its reports and affirm them, and act upon its rulings, for these, the Qur'an will be a proof for them, arguing on their behalf on the Day of Resurrection, because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) said:Sunan an-Nasa'i 2437Sahih (Darussalam).
And in this is evidence that the most important thing in the Qur'an is acting upon it, and this is supported by the saying of the Blessed and Exalted:[Sad 38:29]: So that they may reflect upon its verses, meaning: they understand its meanings, and so that those of understanding may remember: meaning they act upon it. And acting was placed after reflection because it is not possible to act without reflection, since reflection leads to knowledge, and action is a branch of knowledge.
So the important thing is that this is the benefit of the revelation of the Qur'an: that it is recited and acted upon, believed in its reports and acted upon its rulings, obeying its command and avoiding its prohibition. So when the Day of Resurrection comes, it will argue on behalf of its people on the Day of Resurrection. And in this is evidence that the order between Surat al-Baqarah, Al-Imran, and al-Nisa is as it is in the current mushaf, meaning al-Baqarah, then Al-Imran, then al-Nisa. As for the hadith of Hudhayfah ibn al-Yaman (may Allah be pleased with him):: Then this was abrogated by the final order, where Al-Imran was placed before al-Nisa. For this reason, the Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) agreed that Al-Imran is after Surat al-Baqarah, so it is between it and Surat al-Nisa. And success is from Allah.

Recite the Qur'an, for on the Day of Resurrection it will come as an intercessor for those who recite It.
اقرؤوا القرآن فإنه يأتي يوم القيامة شفيعًا لأصحابهAnd from al-Nu'man ibn Sam'an (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say:
The Qur'an and its people who applied it, will be brought on the Day of Resurrection preceded with Surat Al-Baqarah and Surat Al-'Imran arguing on behalf of those who applied them.
يُؤتى يوم القيامة بالقرآن وأهله الذين كانوا يعملون به في الدنيا ، تَقدُمُه سورة البقرة وآل عمران، تحاجان عن صاحبهماThe Shaykh : In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful:

القرآن حجة لك أو عليكAnd in this is evidence that the most important thing in the Qur'an is acting upon it, and this is supported by the saying of the Blessed and Exalted:
[This is] a blessed Book which We have revealed to you, [O Muhammad], that they might reflect upon its verses and that those of understanding would be reminded.
كتاب أنزلناه إليك مبارك ليدبروا آياته وليتذكر أولو الألبابSo the important thing is that this is the benefit of the revelation of the Qur'an: that it is recited and acted upon, believed in its reports and acted upon its rulings, obeying its command and avoiding its prohibition.
