Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The reciter: The author (may Allah have mercy on him) transmitted in the context of the hadiths in the chapter on encouraging specific surahs and verses: "From Abu al-Darda (may Allah be pleased with him), that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
If anyone learns by heart the first ten verses of the Surah al-Kahf, he will be protected from the Dajjal.
Sahih Muslim 809a
.
And in another narration:
the last ten Ayat of Surat Al-Kahf
Riyad as-Salihin 1021
Muslim narrated both.
And from Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both):
Ibn 'Abbas (May Allah be pleased with them) reported: While Jibril (Gabriel) was sitting with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), he heard a sound above him. He lifted his head, and said: "This is a gate which has been opened in heaven today. It was never opened before." Then an angel descended through it, he said: "This is an angel who has come down to earth. He never came down before." He sent greetings and said: "Rejoice with two lights given to you. Such lights were not given to any Prophet before you. These (lights) are: Fatihah-til-Kitab (Surat Al-Fatihah), and the concluding Ayat of Surat Al-Baqarah. You will never recite a word from them without being given the blessings it contain s." [Muslim] .
Riyad as-Salihin 1022
Muslim narrated it"

The Shaykh : In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful:
The author (may Allah have mercy on him) mentioned in the context of the chapter on encouraging specific surahs and verses from the Book of Allah:
What relates to Surat al-Kahf, and what relates to the opening of the Book and the end of Surat al-Baqarah:
As for the first, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) informed:
That whoever memorizes the first ten verses of Surat al-Kahf or from its end will be protected from the Dajjal
: And the Dajjal is a disbelieving man who will be sent in the end of time, claiming prophethood first, meaning that he is a prophet, then claiming to be a god, refuge with Allah, and his trial is the greatest trial that has been on earth since the creation of Adam until the Hour, as the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) informed, and he said:
If he appears and I am among you, I will be his champion over you, otherwise Allah is my successor over every Muslim
, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) warned of his trial,
And there is no prophet among the prophets except that his people warned him.
As-Sunan al-Kubra lil-Nasa'i 59:2
, so that people, the children of Adam, prepare for this great trial, otherwise it is known that he will not come except in the end of time, but in order to emphasize the greatness of his trial and that his trial is a great one from which no one escapes except whom Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) saves, this Dajjal makes Allah cause through his hands extraordinary signs as a trial for people, among which: he commands the sky and it rains, and he commands the earth and it grows, so he comes to a people who are in a drought, with no grazing in their land and their livestock weak and emaciated, so he calls them and promises them, and they follow him, so he commands the sky and it rains and he commands the earth and it grows, then their livestock return to them with the most meat and the most milk, then he comes to others and calls them but they deny him, so they become in a drought with no vegetation in their land, do you find a greater trial than this? Especially in the desert, so many people follow him, and whoever follows him he puts him in his Paradise, and whoever denies him he puts him in his Fire, and it is a Paradise as it appears to people, but it is Fire, refuge with Allah, and his Fire is Fire as it appears to people but it is Paradise and sweet water, but people have only the appearance, except that Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) has made clear to us His signs that he is a liar, meaning this Dajjal, by what he informed us (peace and blessings be upon him and his family):
That this man has written between his eyes: Kafir (disbeliever), Kaf, Fa, Ra, which every believer reads.
: Every believer, even if he does not know how to write or read, reads it, and it is hidden from every hypocrite, he does not see this writing between his eyes, because he has gone astray, refuge with Allah, just as a person in the grave, if he is a believer, answers correctly and says: My Lord is Allah, my religion is Islam, and my prophet is Muhammad, and if he is a hypocrite, even if he is a reader, he does not answer, refuge with Allah.
And our Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) gave us a clear sign as well, which is that he is one-eyed, he has only one eye, and our Lord (Exalted and Majestic is He) is not one-eyed, He is free from every defect and shortcoming, so whoever is guided is safe from his trial and saved.
This wicked Dajjal remains on the earth, he remains on the earth for forty days, the first day is like a year: meaning twelve months, look, glory to Allah, now the sun revolves around the earth in twenty-four hours, but the first day of the days of the Dajjal does not revolve except in twelve months, a full year, and the second day is like a month of thirty days, and the third is like a week of seven days, and the remaining days are like our days, he remains this period then Jesus, the son of Mary (peace be upon him) descends and kills this Dajjal, the true Messiah, the pure prophet kills this wicked Messiah, the Dajjal, Allah (Mighty and Majestic) empowers him over him and he kills him, and because of the greatness of his trial, our Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered us to seek refuge with Allah from him in every prayer, so he said:
When anyone of you finishes the last Tashah-hud, let him seek refuge with Allah from four things: From the torment of Hell, from the torment of the grave, from the trials of life and death, and from the Fitnah (tribulation) of Masihud-Dajjal.
Sunan Ibn Majah 909Sahih (Darussalam)
, because his trial is great, we should seek refuge with Allah (Mighty and Majestic) with a sincere heart from the trial of this Messiah, the Dajjal, and also among the causes of protection from his trial: whoever memorizes ten verses from Surat al-Kahf from its beginning or its end and reads them to him, he is protected from his trial, and among the specific surahs or specific verses is Surat al-Fatihah, and two verses from the end of Surat al-Baqarah, for whoever from this Ummah reads them as a believer with certainty, Allah the Exalted gives him what is in them of request, and in Surat al-Fatihah:
(6) Guide us to the straight path - (7) The path of those upon whom You have bestowed favor, not of those who have evoked [Your] anger or of those who are astray.
[Al-Fatihah 1:6-7]
Allah the Exalted said to His servant when he reads it in prayer:
This is for My servant, and My servant will receive what he asks for.
Sahih Muslim 395a
.
