The reciter: The author (may Allah have mercy on him) transmitted, in the context of the hadiths in the chapter on affirming the obligation of zakah:
"From Abu Ayyub (may Allah be pleased with him): Agreed upon.
And from Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him):
فلما ولَّى قال النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم : من سره أن ينظر إلى رجل من أهل الجنة فلينظر إلى هذا Agreed upon.
And from Jarir ibn Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) who said:Sahih al-Bukhari 1401 Agreed upon".
The Shaykh : In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful:
These three hadiths are in the chapter on affirming the obligation of zakah and explaining its virtue:
The hadiths of Abu Ayyub, Abu Hurayrah, and Jarir, all of which indicate what has come before: that establishing the prayer and giving the zakah are among the obligations of Islam. In the hadith of Abu Ayyub there is an addition:: The relatives are the kin from the father's side or the mother's side, and maintaining ties with them is done according to what is customary and habitual, because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) did not specify the manner of maintaining ties. And everything that comes in the Book and the Sunnah without being specified, its reference is to the custom and practice of people. This varies according to different circumstances, different times, and different countries. In a state of need, poverty, and heavy expenses, maintaining ties with them is by giving them whatever money is available to meet their need. Likewise, if there is illness among the relatives, maintaining ties with them is by visiting them and repeating the visits according to their illness and the degree of kinship.
And if things are easy and there is no need, as in our custom today, it is sufficient to maintain ties with them by phone, by correspondence, or on distant occasions such as festivals and the like. The important thing is that maintaining the ties of kinship is obligatory, but it is not specified in the Shari'ah, so it is referred back to what is customary and what people agree upon among themselves.
As for the hadith of Jarir ibn Abdullah, it contains an addition to what came before regarding establishing the prayer and giving the zakah: And if he consults him about something, it is obligatory for him to advise him with what is best for him in his religion and his worldly affairs. It was mentioned that Jarir ibn Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him), when he pledged allegiance to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) with this pledge: , it was reported about him that he bought a horse from a person for a price. Then, when he rode it and saw the horse, he found it good, so he returned to the seller and said: "Your horse is worth more, so take it." Then he went with it and found it worth more, so he returned to him and said: "Your horse is worth more," and he increased the price until he increased it by the amount of the original price once or twice, because he had pledged allegiance to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) to give sincere advice to every Muslim. So a person should be one who maintains the ties of his kin and is an advisor to his Muslim brothers.
And in the hadith of Tamim al-Dari, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) said:Sahih Ibn Hibban 23:103, and success is from Allah.
"From Abu Ayyub (may Allah be pleased with him):
That a man said to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Tell me of a deed that will admit me to Paradise." He said: "Worship Allah and associate nothing with Him, establish the prayer, give the zakah, and maintain the ties of kinship."
أن رجلا قال للنبي صلى الله عليه وسلم : أخبرني بعمل يدخلني الجنة، قال : تعبد الله لا تشرك به شيئاً، وتقيم الصلاة، وتؤتي الزكاة، وتصل الرحمAnd from Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him):
That a Bedouin came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: "O Messenger of Allah, direct me to a deed that if I do it, I will enter Paradise." He said: "Worship Allah and associate nothing with Him, establish the prayer, give the obligatory zakah, and fast Ramadan." He said: "By Him in whose hand is my soul, I will not add to this." When he turned away, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever would like to look at a man from the people of Paradise, let him look at this man."
And from Jarir ibn Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) who said:
I gave the pledge of allegiance to the Prophet (ﷺ) for offering prayer perfectly, giving Zakat, and giving good advice to every Muslim.
