The reader: In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and may peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, and upon his family and all his Companions:
He said -may Allah have mercy on him-: "Chapter on the command for the fasting person to guard his tongue and limbs from violations, quarreling, and the like:
From Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:Riyad as-Salihin 1240 Agreed upon by al-Bukhari and Muslim.
And from him (may Allah be pleased with him) he said: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:Sahih al-Bukhari 1903 Narrated by al-Bukhari ".
The Shaykh : In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful:
The author -may Allah have mercy on him- said in his book *Riyad al-Salihin*: "Chapter on the fasting person guarding his tongue from what Allah has forbidden": This is the title of the chapter or something similar to it, and what is meant by it is that it is obligatory for the fasting person to avoid every forbidden word and every forbidden action, because Allah the Exalted only made fasting obligatory for the sake of taqwa (mindfulness of Allah), as He the Exalted said:[Al-Baqarah 2:183] meaning: for the sake of that you may fear Allah Mighty and Majestic, and avoid His prohibitions. Allah does not want His servants to be restricted by abstaining from eating, drinking, and intercourse, but He wants them to obey the command of Allah and avoid His prohibitions, so that fasting becomes a school in which they accustom themselves to abandoning forbidden things and performing obligatory duties. And if a full month passes for a person while he is maintaining his religion, abandoning the forbidden, and performing the obligatory, then that will change the course of his life.
For this reason, Allah explained the wisdom behind it as taqwa (mindfulness of Allah), and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) said:Sunan an-Nasa'i 2217: meaning he does not do a forbidden action and does not say a forbidden word, : meaning he started criticizing and insulting him, Sahih Muslim 1151a: so that he may ward off from himself the inability to defend himself and make it clear to his companion that were it not for fasting, he would have responded to him with the same as what he did to him, so he remains dignified and not humiliated, but it is the humility of servitude to Allah the Exalted and obedience to Him.
And likewise he said (peace and blessings be upon him):Sunan Abi Dawud 2362Sahih (Al-Albani) meaning the forbidden speech : meaning with the forbidden as in another wording, meaning aggression against people, Sahih al-Bukhari 1903
The reader: "Chapter on issues of fasting:

And from Laqit ibn Saburah (may Allah be pleased with him) he said:Riyad as-Salihin 1243 Narrated by Abu Dawud, and al-Tirmidhi who said: A good, authentic hadith ".
