The benefits of the hadith: (It is not permissible to marry a woman and her paternal aunt, nor a woman and her maternal aunt).

The Shaykh : The benefits are: the prohibition of marrying a woman and her paternal aunt together, and the prohibition of marrying a woman and her maternal aunt together. If someone asks: Why? What is the wisdom? We say the wisdom is that marrying two women together usually leads to conflict, discord, enmity, and hatred due to women’s jealousy. This is the general case. If that is so, then what the Lawgiver prohibited is that which leads to severing ties, not only between the two women, but even between the descendants of the two women. Each one hates his maternal aunt, which is problematic. There is a problem with this, so the Shari'ah prohibited this.
