Women Going Out for Da'wah
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q: There is a group of people engaged in da'wah who travel from one city to another at various times of the year, and this continues for several days or a week. They also go to Pakistan once a year for (40) days to call people to Islam and teach Muslims the teachings of their religion. The men sit in one of the mosques, and the women sit in the house of one of them. Is it recommended for the women to go out for da'wah? Knowing that they leave their children with one of their relatives? And sometimes they leave them with one of the women who cannot go out because she has no mahram? A. M. A.
A: If those who go out for da'wah have knowledge and insight into what the Book and the Sunnah indicate regarding 'aqidah and other rulings of the Shari'ah, then their work is good, and they have done well in it, whether the duration is short or long. This is based on the saying of Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) : [Surat al-Fussilat: 33], and His saying (Mighty and Majestic): [Surat al-Nahl: 125], and His saying (peace and blessings be upon him) : [Surat Yusuf: 108].
And the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) to 'Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) when he sent him to Khaybar to call the Jews to Islam:Sahih al-Bukhari 3701 It is agreed upon that it is authentic. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sent callers to Allah (Mighty and Majestic) to Yemen and to many of the Arab tribes, and there is no harm in a man taking his wife with him. And success is from Allah.

This is based on the saying of Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) :
And who is better in speech than one who invites to Allah and does righteousness and says, "Indeed, I am of the Muslims."
Invite to the way of your Lord with wisdom and good instruction, and argue with them in a way that is best
Say, "This is my way; I invite to Allah with insight, I and those who follow me. And exalted is Allah; and I am not of those who associate others with Him."
And the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) to 'Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) when he sent him to Khaybar to call the Jews to Islam:
for by Allah, if one man is guided on the right path (i.e. converted to Islam) through you, it would be better for you than (a great number of) red camels.
