Ruling on the wudu of those who experience moments of unconsciousness

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q: What is the ruling on the wudu of those who experience moments of unconsciousness?

A: This requires a detailed explanation: If it is a slight state that does not remove consciousness and does not prevent the sensation of the occurrence, it does not harm, such as the dozing person who does not fall into deep sleep but hears movement; this does not harm him until he knows that something has come out of him. Similarly, if the unconsciousness does not prevent sensation, it is fine. However, if the unconsciousness prevents him from feeling what comes out of him, such as the intoxicated person, or one afflicted with an illness that deprived him of sensation until he fell into unconsciousness, then his wudu is invalidated, just as fainting invalidates it. The same applies to those afflicted with epilepsy.
