The ruling on some mu'adhdhins reciting the tahlil or speaking before the adhan
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q: A. M. M. from Harimlayy in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia says in his question: Some mu'adhdhins recite the tahlil or speak before the adhan. What is the ruling on their doing this? Please issue a ruling, may Allah reward you.
A: It is not permissible for the mu'adhdhin to add any words to the adhan, neither before it nor after it; because the adhan is a worship based on specific textual evidence, and so is the iqamah. Therefore, it is obligatory for the mu'adhdhins to adhere to what came in the pure Shari'ah, and to beware of adding anything that Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) and His Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) did not prescribe.
