The Ruling on Inviting Polytheists to Islam While They Are in a Gathering of Intoxicants

Question:
Do the soldiers of the Christians not sit for their invitation to Islam?

Answer:
And the Jews likewise; all of them are invited to Islam, the Jews and the Christians.
Q: I mean when they are free, they sit on chairs and intoxicants are circulated among them. Should they be invited or left alone?
A: If there is no way to reach them except at this time, go to them and explain to them that Allah created them to worship Him, that Allah has made it obligatory for them to follow Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), who is the Seal of the Prophets, and that Allah has forbidden them intoxicants, forbidden them unlawful sexual intercourse, and forbidden them such and such. This is the religion of Islam.
The point is to invite them to the oneness of Allah first; the first thing is to invite them to the oneness of Allah and to follow Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), and to explain to them that among the beauties of Islam is the prohibition of this abominable thing.
