Is it permissible to accept the invitation of a polytheist neighbor, knowing that there may be blameworthy matters present?

The questioner : 5: Do we have the right to accept the invitations of our polytheist neighbors, knowing that there are sometimes blameworthy matters on the tables?
The Shaykh : If it is more likely than not that there are forbidden matters on the table, it is not permissible for a Muslim to attend under any circumstances, whether the invitation is from a polytheist or a Muslim. This is because Allah (Mighty and Majestic) says:[Al-An'am 6:68], and because the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) said something more explicit and more closely related to the question, namely his saying (peace and blessings be upon him) within an authentic hadith: Sunan al-Bayhaqi 10:1861. Therefore, it is not permissible for a Muslim to respond to an invitation in which he knows there is blameworthy conduct, whether that invitation is from a polytheist or a Muslim, as we have said, except in one case, which is almost non-existent in our time: that he is able to change the blameworthy conduct.
If the one inviting is a polytheist, this polytheist is the furthest from changing the blameworthy conduct. Therefore, it is not permissible to respond to or accept the invitation of a polytheist if it is more likely than not that there is blameworthy conduct in it. And I say that it is not permissible for a Muslim to respond to the invitation of a disbeliever in Allah and His Messenger, even if it is more likely than not that he will not find any blameworthy conduct in that invitation that contradicts his Shari'ah. Nevertheless, it is not permissible for him to attend except with the intention of establishing a good relationship with this polytheist, which he will use later as a means to invite him to Islam gradually. If he has this intention, there is no harm in responding to his invitation, subject to the aforementioned condition.

then do not remain after the reminder with the wrongdoing people.
فَلَا تَقْعُدْ بَعْدَ الذِّكْرَى مَعَ الْقَوْمِ الظَّالِمِينَAnd whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day, let him not sit at a table over which intoxicants are circulated.
ومَن كان يؤمن بالله واليوم الآخر فلا يقعُدْ على مائدة يُدار فيها الخمرIf the one inviting is a polytheist, this polytheist is the furthest from changing the blameworthy conduct.
