The ruling on reciting the Qur'an for the deceased and their benefiting from it

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
Does reciting the Qur'an for the deceased benefit him in his grave?

Answer:
There is no evidence for this. The Qur'an is not recited for the dead, but one should supplicate for them for forgiveness and mercy, and give charity on their behalf. This is what is prescribed. As for reciting the Qur'an and dedicating its reward to the dead, there is no evidence for this, even if some scholars said so, but their statement has no evidence for it.

The presenter : May Allah reward you with good.
