The Ruling on Weaning an Infant Before the Completion of Two Years

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
She says: If a woman did not breastfeed her child for more than one year, then she became pregnant and weaned the infant, is she sinful given the circumstances mentioned? Because I heard that if a woman breastfeeds while she is pregnant, the infant is harmed. Is this correct?

Answer:
This is a matter for her and her husband to decide. If they agree to wean him, there is no harm. If they agree to continue breastfeeding, he remains [breastfed] and it does not harm him.
So the conclusion is that the woman consults with her husband regarding this. If they agree, there is no blame on them. This is based on the saying of the Exalted:
And if they both desire weaningفَإِنْ أَرَادَا فِصَالًا
[al-Baqarah:233], meaning: weaning
through mutual consent from both of them and consultation, there is no blame upon either of themعَنْْ تَرَاضٍ مِنْهُمَا وَتَشَاوُرٍ فَلا جُنَاحَ عَلَيْهِمَا
[al-Baqarah:233]. So the matter of weaning him or not weaning him is up to them. Yes.

The presenter : May Allah reward you with good.
