Q: I have divorced my wife (N. S. F) with the divorce whose image is attached. I had previously divorced her once before this divorce, so I ask you to inform me of the ruling in this matter.
A: If you had previously divorced your wife once, then took her back during the waiting period, and then divorced her a second time by saying, “I have divorced my wife (N.) with a divorce from which there is no return,” and if she agrees with you and you agree with her, and there was no divorce from you other than that—then you may take your wife (N. S.) back as long as she is in the waiting period, and you must bear witness to the taking back with two witnesses. The first divorce that occurred from you is counted as one divorce, and the second is counted as another divorce, and you have only one divorce remaining with your wife (N.).
And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
