What is the advice for one who was lax in prayer and then repented?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
A message was sent by one of the listening brothers. The sender (Rashid . A) from Sakaka, Al-Jawf, asks a number of questions, among which he says: I inform you that I used to pray, but I did not maintain the prayers. Praise be to Allah, I thank Him with much good, blessed, and sufficient thanks for granting me guidance. I now maintain my five prayers in their times, and I stand in night prayer to perform the tahajjud prayer. I read two or three parts of the Qur'an every day, and on Friday I read from six to seven parts. I give some charity if I have it with me, and I fast on Mondays, Thursdays, and the white days. I thank Allah for that. My question is: What do you advise me to do to increase in righteous deeds? May Allah reward you with good.

Answer:
Praise be to Allah who has granted you the blessing of repentance and returning to Him (Exalted and Majestic is He). We advise you to thank Allah and praise Him, to ask Him for steadfastness upon the truth, and to ask Him for success in adhering to the truth. Be glad of the good. We advise you to continue in these good deeds and to increase in good as much as you are able. Allah (Exalted and Majestic is He) does not waste the deeds of those who work, but rather He preserves them for them and multiplies them for them according to their sincerity and truthfulness. So seek help from Allah and strive in doing good (and you are upon good), such as charity, enjoining good and forbidding evil, calling to Allah , and caring for dutifulness to parents, maintaining family ties, honoring the neighbor, and other forms of good. Be glad of the good. May Allah grant us and you steadfastness and acceptance.

The presenter : O Allah, amen. May Allah reward you with good, and may He do you good.
