The ruling on one who forgets the middle tashahhud or doubts that he forgot it

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
If a person prays and forgets the tashahhud between the two rak'ahs, and stands up and says takbir, then remembers it afterwards, should he sit down for the tashahhud, or should he complete the rak'ah? And how does he complete it? May Allah reward you with good.

Answer:
If the imam or a person praying alone leaves out the first tashahhud and does not remember it until he has fully stood up, the best for him is to complete the prayer, then perform the prostration for forgetfulness, two prostrations, before he says taslim, as the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did.
As for if he remembers when he is standing up, or if they remind him, he should return, sit down, perform the tashahhud, then stand up, complete his prayer, and also perform the prostration for forgetfulness. Even if he returned out of ignorance, there is no blame on him; his prayer is valid, and he performs the prostration for forgetfulness as well. Yes.

The presenter : May Allah reward you with good. If he remembers that he forgot the tashahhud, or if he doubts, does he perform the prostration for forgetfulness?

The Shaykh : If he doubts, no. But if he remembers that he left it out, he performs the prostration for forgetfulness. As for if he is uncertain, the original state is that he did not leave it out; the original state is that... Yes.

The presenter : May Allah reward you with good, and may He do you good.
