The Ruling on Reciting the Qur'an While Reclining or Lying Down

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
A message was sent from the Arab Republic of Egypt by a female listener, stating: Your sister in Islam (A. K. N.) is asking a number of questions, among which is the question: Is reciting the Qur'an while relaxing on one's back forbidden, or not?

Answer:
There is no harm in reciting the Qur'an while you are lying on your back, on your side, or reclining; there is no harm in any of this. Allah (Exalted and Majestic is He) says, Glorified and Exalted is He, in describing His servants who are people of understanding:
Who remember Allah while standing or sitting or [lying] on their sidesالَّذِينَ يَذْكُرُونَ اللَّهَ قِيَامًا وَقُعُودًا وَعَلَى جُنُوبِهِمْ
[Al Imran:191] And the Qur'an is part of the remembrance, so there is no harm in reciting while you are sitting, standing, lying on your side, or on your back. All of this is permissible, and praise be to Allah. Yes.

The presenter : May Allah reward you with good.
