The second question of Fatwa No. ( 7720 ):
Q2: Is it permissible to recite the Noble Qur'an while lying down, standing, or walking?
A2: It is permissible; because the original ruling is permissibility, and no evidence has been found indicating its prohibition, and due to the generality of Allah's statement describing those of understanding:[Ali 'Imran 3:191] , and reciting the Qur'an is a form of dhikr (remembrance of Allah). And success is from Allah. May Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.

الَّذِينَ يَذْكُرُونَ اللَّهَ قِيَامًا وَقُعُودًا وَعَلَى جُنُوبِهِمْ
