The ruling on one who dies while wearing a ring in which he believes there is healing, being ignorant of its prohibition

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
The listener Ahmad Ali Muhammad and his family sent a message saying: Their father has passed away, and he used to wear a ring in which he believed there was a cure for infertility. At that time, he was wearing it without knowing that this act is forbidden. They ask how they should act now that the man has passed away while in that state of ignorance? And what do you advise them to do? May Allah reward you with good.

Answer:
They should supplicate for him for pardon and forgiveness; because he is ignorant and thinks that this hanging of a ring is beneficial. Hanging the ring, he thinks it is beneficial in the category of medicine and in the category of medical treatment; so it does not harm him—if Allah wills. If he were alive, he would be pointed out to it and informed that it is not permissible to hang amulets, or to hang rings in which one believes they are among the causes of healing; it is not permissible... This is well known among the scholars.
The point is: Hanging a piece of cloth, or a paper, or a ring, or a loop for the purpose of healing is not permissible; the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade this. But as long as he is ignorant, he should be supplicated for with forgiveness and mercy, and the funeral prayer should be performed for him, and praise be to Allah. Yes.

The presenter : May Allah reward you with good, and may He do you good.
