Advice for one who wishes to marry a second wife

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner: Finally, he says that he has considered marriage. What do you advise him?
The answer: Marriage is sought after and is a great act of devotion. I advise him to take the initiative. If he already has a wife and needs a second wife, then... and if he does not have a wife, it is even more so that he should take the initiative.
The presenter: This wife of his is the one he complains about, and he considered marriage in hopes that things might be fixed?
The Shaykh: There is nothing wrong if he wishes to marry a second, third, or fourth wife; the matter is broad. However, he must strive for justice, as the Exalted said:
then marry those that please you of [other] women, two or three or four. But if you fear that you will not be just, then [marry only] oneفَانكِحُوا مَا طَابَ لَكُمْ مِنَ النِّسَاءِ مَثْنَى وَثُلاثَ وَرُبَاعَ فَإِنْ خِفْتُمْ أَلَّا تَعْدِلُوا فَوَاحِدَةً
[Surat al-Nisa: 3]. If a man is confident in his ability to be just and can afford to marry a second, third, or fourth wife, there is no objection. The first wife should be patient if he is just, fear Allah, be kind, and treat him with good conduct. However, if he wrongs her and does not act justly, she may then request a divorce or take the matter to the court. It is obligatory for him to be just. Yes.
The presenter: May Allah reward you with good and do you good.
