Whoever Allah loves, the people love

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Is it true that whoever Allah loves, the people love?

Answer: Yes. This is established in the authentic hadith:
When Allah loves a servant, He calls out to Jibril: “I love so-and-so, so love him.” Then Jibril calls out to the inhabitants of the heavens: “Allah loves so-and-so, so love him.” Then love for him is placed on earth.
So the awliya (close friends of Allah) and the people of His obedience love him, not the people of shirk (associating partners with Allah) with him. The awliya and the people of His obedience love him because of what Allah places in their hearts of love for him due to Allah’s love for him (peace and blessings be upon him).
And so it is with hatred
When Allah hates a servant, He calls out to Jibril: “Allah hates so-and-so, so hate him.” So Jibril hates him. Then He calls out to the inhabitants of the heavens: “Allah hates so-and-so, so hate him.” Then hatred for him is placed on earth.
