Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
A message reached the program from one of the listening brothers, and at the end it was signed: Your brother, Mustafa al-Sudani. His message was actually lengthy, but I summarized it in the following phrase. He says: Your Eminence, my father was ill and stayed in the hospital for a period. Then he was discharged from the hospital against his will and against the will of us, his sons. He then passed away at home three days later. We feel some discomfort regarding our conduct toward our father. Will we be sinful for his discharge from the hospital?

Answer:
As long as his discharge was not by your choice, you owe nothing.
So fear Allah as much as you are ableفَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُمْ
[al-Taghābun:16] A person is not burdened with more than he can bear.
Allah does not charge a soul except [with that within] its capacityلا يُكَلِّفُ اللَّهُ نَفْسًا إِلَّا وُسْعَهَا
[al-Baqarah:286] You should supplicate for him for forgiveness and mercy, and give charity on his behalf. If your father used to pray and was a person of good, praise be to Allah. Ask Allah for him for more good deeds and multiplied goodness, and ask for the alleviation of his sins. Give charity on his behalf, and supplicate for him for forgiveness and mercy. And be assured of good, if Allah wills. Yes.
And likewise, performing Hajj and 'Umrah on his behalf. Yes.

The presenter : May Allah reward you with good.
