The ruling on one who vowed to slaughter an animal in front of a mosque and then changed his mind

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
This questioner is from Jordan: I vowed to Allah the Exalted that I would slaughter an animal in front of one of the mosques in the city of Zarqa. This mosque is located in the market, on a main street, and I intended to distribute what I slaughtered to the poor. Is it permissible for me to change the mosque so that the slaughter takes place in another mosque, so that the poor and the wealthy among the people of calling to Allah the Exalted may eat from it? The slaughter there is easy and facilitated, as is the cooking. May Allah reward you with good.

Answer:
There is no blame on you in that, if you did not intend specific poor people at the first mosque, but rather you intended the category of poor people in general, and you did not have a specific intention for particular poor people, then there is no harm in slaughtering at another mosque. However, if you intended specific poor people at the first mosque, wanting to do good to them in your vow, then slaughter at your original location; because you intended specific poor people. But if your intention was the poor only in terms of their need, and your intention was not for the poor of that specific neighborhood in your vow, then you may slaughter there, and elsewhere. Yes.

The presenter : May Allah reward you with good.
