The Reality of Fasting the Limbs in Ramadan

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
The questioner: From Syria, Abu Usamah (A. A.) from Damascus says: How does one fast the limbs in Ramadan? I ask for your guidance.

Answer:
The Shaykh: One fasts the limbs by leaving what Allah has forbidden of sins; that is their fasting. So one does not touch with his hand what Allah has forbidden, nor does he touch with his mouth what Allah has forbidden, nor does he look with his eye at what Allah has forbidden, nor does he walk with his foot toward what Allah has forbidden, and so on. Their fasting is restraining them from what Allah has forbidden. Yes. If the believer fasts, his limbs fast, and his tongue fasts from lying, his eye fasts from forbidden looking, his hand fasts from forbidden seizing, and his foot fasts from forbidden walking. Yes.

The presenter : May Allah reward you with good.
