The sin of one who prays alone and leaves the congregation

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
The second paragraph, O Shaykh, this questioner asks: Does one who prays alone during the time commit a sin, and does he miss the reward of the congregation?

Answer:
Yes. One who prays alone while he is able to join the congregation commits a sin, and he misses the reward of the congregation if he prays while he is able to join it. However, if he is unable due to illness or has a valid excuse, he gets the reward of the congregation. Or if he is traveling and no congregation is available to him, he gets the reward of the congregation. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Indeed, when a servant falls ill or travels, Allah writes for him what he used to do while he was healthy and resident.إن العبد إذا مرض أو سافر كتب الله له ما كان يعمله وهو صحيح مقيم
Al-Bukhari narrated it in his Sahih.
So the sick person who is unable to join the congregation gets the reward of the congregation, and the traveler who has no congregation available to him gets the reward of the congregation. But a person who deliberately lags behind while he is healthy, no, he does not get the reward of the congregation; rather, he commits a sin. It is obligatory for him to pray in the congregation, and if he lags behind without an excuse, he commits a sin. Yes.
