Question:
This questioner, Abdulrahman Muhammad from the Northern State of Sudan, says: I ask the honorable Shaykh to explain the noble verse from Surat Abasa:['Abasa 80:21] Then, when He wills, He will restore him No! He has not fulfilled what was commanded of him [Abasa:21-23], knowing that I have read Ibn Kathir’s exegesis and did not understand the explanation. May you be rewarded?
Answer:
The noble verse is clear [Abasa:21] to the end of the verse, that Allah (Exalted and Majestic is He) causes people to die. This worldly life is a place of enjoyment, temporary, and has an end, as He (Exalted and Majestic is He) said: [Ta-Ha:55], and He (Exalted and Majestic is He) said: [Al-A'raf:25]. Then He brings them out on the Day of Resurrection, [Abasa:23]. The apparent meaning of the verse—and Allah knows best—is that a person dies while there may be things he has not fulfilled from the matters he was commanded to do; because a person may be overtaken by his term, death may befall him, and there are things he has not fulfilled.
So the sensible and prudent one is the one who hastens and rushes to perform what Allah has made obligatory upon him and leave what Allah has forbidden, before his term overtakes him. This is part of prudence: to hasten and rush to fulfill what Allah has made obligatory upon him and leave what Allah has forbidden, before his term overtakes him while he has not fulfilled what Allah commanded him to do, meaning: he may have neglected and wasted it. And this is like His saying (Exalted and Majestic is He) in His noble Book: [Al-Hadid:21] [Al-Imran:133]. This is all part of the precaution for the believer to hasten and race so that his term does not overtake him while he has neglected. Yes.

The noble verse is clear
Then He causes his death and provides a grave for him.
From the earth We created you, and into it We will return you, and from it We will extract you another time.
He said, "Therein you will live, and therein you will die, and from it you will be brought forth."
No! Man has not yet accomplished what He commanded him.
And this is like His saying (Exalted and Majestic is He) in His noble Book:
Race to forgiveness from your Lord
And hasten to the forgiveness of your Lord
The presenter : May Allah bless you.
