Advice for young men who are unable to marry

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question: Also, this is a question from al-Ha'ir, as he said (Y. W. F), concerning this problem or this social phenomenon. He says: I am a young man in my twenties, and I want to complete half of my religion, but I cannot afford the cost of marriage. What is your advice to me in this situation?

Answer:
It is established from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said:
Young man, those of you who can support a wife should marry, for it keeps you from looking at strange women and preserves you from immorality; but those who cannot should devote themselves to fasting, for it is a means of suppressing sexual desire.يا معشر الشباب! من استطاع منكم الباءة فليتزوج، فإنه أغض للبصر وأحصن للفرج، فمن لم يستطع فعليه بالصوم فإنه له وجاء
Mishkat al-Masabih 3080
So the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) guided to fasting (for the one who is unable to afford the cost of marriage), meaning: the expense of marriage. If he is unable, he should fast and seek help through fasting to restrain his desire and lower it, and to be safe from its evil as much as possible. So, by the permission of Allah, fasting achieves what is meant by "castration," meaning: it weakens the desire and prevents it from being intense.

In conclusion: Fasting contains a cure for desire and a cure for a person's ambition toward marriage. It is among the causes of lowering the gaze and among the causes of weakening the power of Satan, for he flows through the son of Adam like blood, and fasting weakens that.

In conclusion: Fasting weakens this inclination and this tendency toward sex, so a great deal of the intended benefit is achieved by it. If he takes some of the medicines that weaken desire but do not cut it off, if he takes some of the medicines that achieve the weakening of desire and the lightening of desire, but do not cut off desire, rather desire remains when needed, this is also permissible. It may be a treatment as well. Yes.
