Machine translationRead the Arabic original
From the city of al-Kharj, this message was sent: Sa'dun al-'Anzi says in his message: Your Eminence, Shaykh: Abdul Aziz ibn Abdullah ibn Baz, the honorable, after respect and appreciation:
Peace be upon you, and Allah’s mercy and blessings, and after that:
Your Eminence! I ask you to issue a ruling on the following question, and I thank you: Did Abu Bakr al-Siddiq marry Fatimah, the daughter of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), or was it Ali ibn Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with them both)?
Answer: The one who married Fatimah was Ali ibn Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him). This is by the consensus of the Muslims; there is no dispute or disagreement on this. As for Abu Bakr al-Siddiq, he did not marry the daughter of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). However, Uthman married two daughters of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): he married his two daughters, Ruqayyah and Umm Kulthum, and they died while he was their husband (may Allah be pleased with him). Ali married the youngest one, who was Fatimah, the mother of al-Hasan and the mother of al-Husayn (may Allah be pleased with them all). Zaynab was married to Abu al-'As ibn al-Rabi'. They are four, and there is no dispute or disagreement on this.
Peace be upon you, and Allah’s mercy and blessings, and after that:
